Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Prepped, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. Prepped is operated from Australia; our ABN will be added here once business registration is finalised.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract under Australian law to use Prepped. By signing up, you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for any activity under your account. Tell us as soon as possible if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Plans, billing, and refunds

  • Free plan — unlimited firm tracking and deadlines, plus a monthly allowance of AI tools (currently 3 mock interviews, 3 cover letters, 2 resume reviews and 3 flashcard sets per calendar month). Allowances reset each month.
  • Plus plan — $9.99 AUD per month, billed by Stripe. Everything in Free with higher monthly allowances (currently 20 mock interviews, 40 cover letters, 20 resume reviews and 40 flashcard sets per month).
  • Max plan — $29.99 AUD per month, billed by Stripe. Everything in Plus with the highest monthly allowances (currently 60 mock interviews, 120 cover letters, 60 resume reviews and 120 flashcard sets per month). Allowances may change with notice; fair-use applies.
  • Free tier — the Free plan is available indefinitely at no cost and requires no payment details. Paid plans are billed immediately on subscribing; there is no free trial.
  • Cancellation — you can cancel any time via Settings → Plan → Manage subscription. Your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds — we don't offer pro-rata refunds for partial months. This does not affect any refund rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which always apply.
  • Price changes — we may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the new price applies at your next renewal.

5. AI features and accuracy

Prepped uses third-party AI (Anthropic's Claude and Deepgram's speech-to-text) to generate interview questions, transcribe your answers, and produce feedback. We aim for accuracy but cannot guarantee it. AI output is a learning aid, not professional career, legal, financial, or medical advice, and you should not rely on it as a sole basis for important decisions.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:
  • Use Prepped for anything illegal or to harm others.
  • Scrape, mirror, or programmatically extract data from the service.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the service or our content.
  • Upload content you don't have the right to share, or content that infringes third-party rights.
  • Bypass usage limits, security controls, or pricing tiers.
  • Use the service to abuse, harass, or impersonate others.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the resume, answers, and notes you put into Prepped. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content as needed to run the service for you (and to send it to subprocessors listed in our Privacy Policy). We do not use your content to train AI models.

8. Our content

Everything else on Prepped — branding, interface design, firm-curation data, question banks, system prompts, and AI feedback templates — belongs to us or our licensors. You can use it for your personal interview prep but not republish or commercialise it.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep Prepped running but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may take the service down for maintenance, fix issues, or change features. We'll notify paying subscribers of material changes that affect paid features.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Prepped's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

11. Termination

You can delete your account any time via Settings → Privacy → Delete my account. We can suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or pose a risk to other users.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that state.

13. Changes

We'll update these terms when our practices change. Material changes will be communicated by email and/or in-app notice. Continuing to use Prepped after a change means you accept the new terms.
